Welcome to The Oaks of West Kettering, a comprehensive health care center offering a broad range of health care services in a warm and caring environment. We offer 24-hour nursing care for those who are no longer able to live independently. Our long-term care program provides security and is designed to meet the social, emotional and spiritual needs of each of our residents. Our center is the ideal combination of personal care, professional commitment, and clinical expertise.
The Oaks of West Kettering continually proves why it’s the premier community in the Kettering area. Whether the decision is based on awards, outcomes, amenities or staff, the Oaks is an award-winning facility.
Customer Satisfaction: Most recently the Oaks scored much higher than the state average for resident satisfaction. We are proud of this because it is a direct reflection of how our residents view us.
Quality of Care: Annually the Ohio Department of Health sends a team of surveyors into each nursing home statewide. They spend up to an entire week in the building reviewing charts, interviewing residents, interviewing staff, watching departments care for residents as well as much more. At the end of the survey, the team gives us our results. The typical nursing home received above five citations for things needing fixed.
We are proud to announce that The Oaks of West Kettering received zero cites and had a deficiency-free survey in nursing.
Ratings: A few years ago the Centers for Medicare came up with a rating system to better equip the consumer in evaluating nursing homes for care. They created a star rating where facilities are judged on a scale of 1 (worst) to 5 (best) score. The average score in the area is 3-stars.
We are proud to say we scored 4 stars — which is one of the highest in the area. Amenities: The Oaks of West Kettering recently transitioned the first floor to a transitional care unit that serves as a separate unit to help people rehab from the hospital to home. The difference between the transitional care unit compared to other facilities is simply the amenities.
Each room is large and has a bedroom, lounge area, table for dining, telephone, flat-screen televisions, and private bath and shower. The entire unit is equipped with free WiFi service as well.
