Short term care
As we get older, many of us naturally need a helping hand – perhaps someone to help us get ready for the day, help manage our medications or prepare special meals. Sometimes that’s all we need to live safely on our own. Our staff is here to offer that helping hand, but only when and if you need it.
Our full range of assisted living services are designed to help you maintain your health, so you can live as independently as possible.
These include: Daily assistance with bathing and dressing Medication management Dining assistance and special diets Assistance with reminders and redirection Escorts and assistance with walking Emergency response call system Rehabilitation services (Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapy) To ensure we meet your needs, we use a state-of-the-art computerized system, called Point, Click, Care.
This helps us accurately evaluate and monitor assisted living services for each resident. In addition, our Health & Wellness Director will visit with you on a regular basis to personally discuss health-related issues and to monitor your progress.
Friendship Suites – Just right for many seniors Perhaps you’d love to live here, but you’re concerned about your budget. Or maybe you no longer want to live alone. Either way, we offer the perfect solution – friendship suites. Seniors are brought together to share an apartment and cost savings, while receiving the same outstanding services and amenities all residents enjoy.
Short-Stay – A great way to get to know us If you want to experience living at a Brookdale community before making a permanent move, or you’re being discharged from a hospital or nursing care facility and aren’t quite ready to go home, consider our short term stay program. You’ll receive the same services all residents enjoy – home-cooked meals, scheduled transportation, outstanding service and more. Taking advantage of our short term stay program is a great way to decide if our community suits your lifestyle and fits your needs!
Living the Active Life – Each day is about living life to the fullest and letting us take care of mundane daily chores. Our full activities program includes wine-and-cheese socials, gardening, tea parties, corn hole, live music, fitness classes to boost your body and brain, Bible study and arts & crafts. You may want to spend your day resuming an old hobby or learning a new one. Or maybe indulge your competitive streak in a friendly game of cards. Perhaps you want to settle in with a good book and a cup of tea in the fireside living room.
We love visiting local restaurants and shops, and nearby attractions make exciting day excursions, such as visiting the Tank Museum, Danville’s Riverwalk Trail or the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History. You can be active as much — or as little — as you choose.
The Comforts of Home — and More
You’ll find plenty of comfortable common space to spend time with friends and family, whether it’s in the cozy, home-like living room, TV room, cafe/bistro or any of several common areas that naturally draw people together. Large windows give tremendous natural light throughout the community, giving an open, airy feel. The landscaped, flower-filled courtyard and garden is perfect for a breath of fresh air, strolling along the pathways or digging in the dirt.
We offer an open and spacious dining room which serves chef-prepared, restaurant-style meals, such as baked salmon or roast turkey, and a private dining room available to you for family visits and private parties. There’s also a beauty salon/barber shop, arts & crafts studio and a whirlpool — all for your convenience.
