The Alois Alzheimer Center has been operating for over 30 years and revolutionized the national industry as the first community in the United States dedicated to the care and treatment of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias right here in Cincinnati!  You won’t find anything quite like The Alois.  We have five (5) unique neighborhoods, each designed specifically to transition with your loved ones as his/her care needs change through their entire dementia journey.  Each neighborhood is equipped with their own dining room, living room, activity space, sitting rooms and courtyard, giving residents all the space that they need to truly feel at home.  We are the only all memory care community in Cincinnati metropolitan area that is licensed both as an Assisted Living Community and as a Certified Nursing Community – truly allowing us to provide specialized complete care of the highest level to our residents and their families.  Most memory care communities are only licensed to provide an assisted living accommodation; but, because we have a nursing license as well, we can provide a higher level of care to ensure resident safety.  We offer full specialized therapy services, along with behavioral therapy for our residents so that they can stay physically high functioning as well as cognitively high functioning for wherever they are in their journey.  Also, we have one of the largest Life Enrichment programs in the area (Nationally Award Winning) and we cater to each of our residents and their individual needs for activity and socialization.  Our staff ratios are some of the highest that you will find and all staff members are trained to care for dementia residents in every setting.  All Memory Care settings are not equal = Here at The Alois, we believe in preserving the dignity and quality of life for each of our residents by placing them in a neighborhood that fits their stage of dementia so that they can be with their peer!
