Alzheimer's / Dementia Go Purple for Alzheimer’s Disease 10/8/2018 | By Terri L. Jones The Wave of Purple for Alzheimer’s Has Only Just Begun! Have you noticed that the Seniors Guide’s timeline has an extraordinary amount of purple on it lately?! That’s because we’ve asked our readers to “go purple” in anticipation of National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month in November. Throughout October, for every “go purple” photo you share on Facebook, we’ll be donating $1 to the Alzheimer’s Association (up to $5,000). So far, we’ve received photos of folks in purple hats, masks, socks and dresses and with purple tattoos, cups, fingernails and toenails. It’s easy to join in the fun! All you have to do is pull that purple sweater out of the back of your closet, take a selfie and share it on Facebook, tagging “Seniors Guide” and using the hashtag #seniorsguidegoespurple. Be sure to make your post “public” using the small icon under your name. But don’t stop there! Challenge your Facebook friends to “go purple” in their own creative ways. You’ll be amazed at all the purple they come up with! During National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, we honor the millions of Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease by raising money and awareness to combat this disease impacting millions. In November, watch for the Seniors Guide’s website and the rest of our social media pages to go purple too! Read More Terri L. Jones Terri L.
