Whether adding cabinets, upgrading bathroom tile or hardwood floors, placing plantation shutters or choosing slate for the fireplace…our Members enjoy making their new home comfortable and a place that welcomes fun, friends and good times. Two bedroom cottages include a full kitchen, laundry area with washer and dryer, spacious living and dining rooms, heated garage and master suite. Outdoor patios make it as easy to entertain family and friends as it is to relax with the morning paper.
Our Apartment Floor plans included 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and 3 bedroom Multiple Layouts accommodations that feature many amenities for your safety and convenience. All apartments have a 24-hour emergency call system and our staff is ready to respond should any emergency occur. In case of bad weather or scorching heat, you never even have to leave the building to get to the dining room, parties, your mailbox or the movies. Each apartment is connected via hallway, with elevators to connect you to every floor. In short, our apartments offer an affordable option for people looking to simplify their lifestyle by subtracting chores while adding in affordability, convenience, friends and good times.
We want our Members to stay independent in their own home and to do that, our Supportive Services Team can help with the activities of daily living right in their own home. Running errands, helping with bathing and dressing, medication reminders and companionship are all available on a pay as you need basis through our sister company, Live Long Well Care. With experienced staff providing in-home assistance, The Stratford members get the opportunity to regain and retain their independence. With this Supportive Services being provided in conjunction with a healthy diet and participation in our Wellness Program Members are given a wonderful opportunity to keep themselves from moving to long term care. Live Long Well Care can provide companionship for people who are recovering from an illness or accident, or who need more help with the activities of daily living, including: Medication reminders; Meal preparation; Transportation to doctor appointments or other commitments; and Light housekeeping.
The Stratford offers Welcome Home Services to help with the overwhelming concerns brought on by downsizing, sale of home and the moving process. With a team of experts, we can make the house sale and moving process stress free. Services include: Relocation Counselor that will assist you all the way through the transition process; Wide selection of successful Realtors®, nationwide, for a house evaluation; At least two market analysis of your house’s true up-to-the minute market value; House staging services to showcase your house to ensure a successful house sale (fee based); and Move Managers Services to support.
The Retreat, holding a full CCRC license for all care services and staffed by a Registered Nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, is The Stratford’s home to a wonderful group of friends and neighbors who’ve moved here for two basic reasons: 1 – to have some assistance with the day to day tasks of living and 2 – enjoy a higher quality of life. Reflections provides an environment for members to safely engage in specially designed activities that focus on providing the best care for members with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The approach to care within Reflections is person-centered. Team members offer opportunities for residents to find happiness and meaning that supports their own unique needs. Daily guidance and teaching is a large part of Reflections. Team members are trained in proper techniques, approach and care of members. Reflections programing offers a daily structure to members that enable members to feel successful in everyday life. Reflections at The Retreat have accommodations designed to fit the specific needs of members with Alzheimer’s and dementia. This includes private rooms, living and dining areas, and community spaces that support wellness activities such as therapy pools. Our state-of-the-art living facility accommodates private rooms, an enclosed courtyard, pleasurable dining experience, and specialized. Our on-site Health Care Center is staffed by a Registered Nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our clinical care program offers residents comprehensive care and is available for long-term stays, as well as short-term rehabilitation visits following an illness or surgery. The following services and amenities are offered with Clinical Care: Rehabilitation services to include physical, occupational and speech therapy with indoor therapy pool; Table service during all daily meals with selections from a restaurant-style menu approved by our registered dietitian; Anytime snacks; Private rooms available; Medical services including pharmacy, dentistry, optometry, podiatry, laboratory and x-ray; 24-hour emergency call system; Wellness centers with strength-training and cardiovascular equipment; Professional hair care salon; Spacious activity and therapy areas; Daily oversight by a registered nurse and on-call Medical Director; and Specialized social activities to meet resident’s needs.
We offer physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy, both for members of our community as well as outside guests. Physical Therapy restores function for individuals who have experienced neuromuscular or skeletal dysfunction. Individualized therapeutic treatment may include: Training in mobility, gait stability, posture and positioning; Exercise programs to increase muscle function, coordination and endurance; Joint and soft tissue mobilization to increase range-of-motion; Wound care and Pain management. Occupational Therapy assists individuals with adapting to their social and physical environment. Therapists enhance patient functionality through: Education and training in areas such as dressing, bathing, eating and grooming; Activities for memory, orientation and cognitive integration; Adaptive techniques or equipment to overcome physical disabilities; Strengthening and coordination exercises; Exercises to reduce the effects of arthritis or other conditions to maintain normal joint movement. Speech-Language Therapy pathologists address communication and swallowing dysfunction. Treatment plans are designed for individual needs, such as: Recovery of speech, language and memory skills; Verbal and non-verbal communication, including programs for the hearing impaired; Oral muscle strength and functioning required for speaking and swallowing; and Appropriate diet recommendations.
