With our renewable rental agreements, you can select living options designed to make your cost of living as closely matched to your needs as possible. And community engagement includes an IT Concierge, a menu of activities that engage all the senses, and a full time Community Engagement Manager.
Our 2020 expansion of independent living options to 140 new villas and apartments will also include a new 25,000 square foot Town Center bringing all areas of our campus together. Amenities include multiple dining options including dining by the lake, a new wellness and education center, and a new integrated chapel – all open to residents and the public.
At Richfield, it is our passion to help residents experience life to the full, through all of the stages of life’s journey. We strive daily to provide environments that are nurturing, comfortable, and secure, where each resident’s individual qualities are recognized and respected.
Richfield offers two distinct assisted living residences on our campus — The Oaks and Joseph C. Thomas Center. Both of these communities are designed for adults over 55 that are unable to live on their own and require some assistance with their daily needs. Life enrichment is our goal!
The Rehab Center at Richfield Living in Salem, Virginia, provides short-term, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to those who are still recovering from surgery, injury or illness and serves as a bridge between a hospital stay and your return home.
The services provided within our Memory Care Programs are tailored to preserve as much independence as possible. Helping individuals to accomplish simple, daily tasks affords residents a sense of dignity and empowers them to be successful.
Richfield’s Joseph C. Thomas Center offers two households that are dedicated to memory care. Within these households, we incorporate resident-directed approaches and life enrichment programming with the goal of increasing quality of life for residents and improving their level of satisfaction and well-being.
At Richfield Living, creating a homelike environment starts with our household approach to dementia care. No more than 16 people reside in a memory care household. The surroundings help keep residents from feeling overwhelmed. Our memory care households feature stunning views of the mountains in the Roanoke Valley, as well as private rooms with private baths where residents have space for their favorite belongings. These rooms are clustered around a shared living space that includes a ‘house’ kitchen, comfortable common areas, and security systems to help ensure resident safety.
Other benefits the memory care household offers include:
Dedicated to creating a healthy lifestyle, Richfield offers an Outpatient Therapy Clinic and Wellness Center. Our Fitness Directors create a comprehensive plan utilizing our exercise equipment and personal coaching. When physician ordered, outpatient therapy is provided by our onsite Occupational Therapist to get you back into life.
