Honey and chipotle peppers coat roasted broccoli in this sweet and smoky side dish. Serve alongside pork, roasted chicken or with any main dish that could use some kick.

Roasted Honey-Chipotle Broccoli

Serves 6

Active Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 teaspoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons minced canned chipotles in adobo
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 cups broccoli florets (about 1 pound)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F. Coat a large rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. Whisk oil, honey, juice, chipotles, garlic powder and salt together in a large bowl. Add broccoli and toss to coat. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and roast, stirring once, until tender and browned in spots, 12 to 15 minutes.
