Options Behavioral Health Hospital

Serving Senior Adults Through Our Inpatient Program

Options Behavioral Health Hospital serves senior adults through our inpatient treatment program called Generations. The Generations Program is a short term, Inpatient Program that is designed to address the emotional problems and change in baseline behaviors that senior adults may be experiencing within their lives. These changes in baseline behaviors are stressful to the entire family and may include depression, aggression towards self and others, increase in verbal outbursts towards others, significant increase in confusion, thoughts of suicide and hallucinations that are new to the patient.

Our Generations program at Options provides a combination of therapeutic techniques and modalities, including group-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, family therapy, individual therapy, reminiscence therapy and activities therapy. The Generations Program provides a 24-hour physician and nursing staff dedicated to not only getting to the cause of the presenting behavior issue(s), but also working with each patient’s family to help them understand what their loved one is going through and how to cope with certain emotional difficulties in the future. Our average stay is 1-3 weeks and we continue to support the patient and family after returning home.
