Crater Community Hospice is a nonprofit community-based organization, serving the community for over 25 Years! Hospice care is a special kind of care that focuses on people’s quality of life and their caregivers experiencing a life-limiting illness.
Patients will require hospice care once their care transfers from illness treatment to illness management to improve their quality end-of-life care. Our team of specialized end-of-life care professionals provides physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual support to patients and their families. Our outstanding team of caring experts includes physicians, nurses, certified nursing assistants, social workers, chaplains, bereavement counselors, trained volunteers.
We administer compassionate hospice care within a 50 mile radius from our Petersburg office whether the patient is living at home, a nursing home, an assisted living facility, or in a hospital setting.
Medicare, Medicaid, plus most private insurance policies cover hospice care.
