Assisted Living in Roanoke, Virginia

Formally known as the Lakeview Motor Lodge covered 60 to 100 acres and which was formally a horse farm. The Lakeview Motor Lodge was considered one of the finest in all Virginia. A primer vacation spot with wonderful Southern hospitality. Lakeview had one the best restaurants in Roanoke and it was called the “Feedbox” who was known for its southern food: “biscuits, gravy, fried chicken, cornbread, grits, country ham, and all the other wonderful Southern delicacies.” Lakeview Motor Lodge was closed and sold to Friendship Manor in the late ’70’s. But the motel wasn’t torn down it became part of Friendship Manor. It was sold in 2007 and renamed North Roanoke Assisted Living and it was sold again in 2012. Today it is still known as North Roanoke Assisted Living.

We offer plenty of activities for residents. These activities generally allow residents to maintain healthy lifestyles by encouraging movement and socializing with their peers. Being able to chat with other residents becomes an important part of many peoples’ lives and we offer common spaces indoors to support that need. The benefit of living in an assisted living community is that making meals can be costly and time consuming process so we provide meals for residents.
