Care for Alzheimer’s and Dementia
Short term care
At The Legacy at Liberty Ridge, we’re dedicated to serving those with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia by creating an environment that promotes comfort, dignity and joy. Here, you’ll find groundbreaking programming, gorgeous surroundings, and an entire team of trained caregivers dedicated to providing compassionate Memory Care services.
Through our BFF Program, we learn the life stories of our residents, and use those stories to inform every aspect of our care.
Our experience of transferring our parents from an unsafe environment in their home to the Legacy was an incredibly positive. From the start, Jodi was instrumental in ensuring that all the details were taken care of and was in constant communication during the process. She helped with needed items during the entire transition to lessen the stress of this new chapter in our lives. For me, she became my “calm” in the midst of our storm. The Legacy has exceeded my exceptions with the provided care and support given to the resident and family members. Thank you for being so pleasant and helpful. I am comfortable with and confident that we found one of the best care facilities. The Legacy at Liberty Ridge has been a “God send” in our family’s journey, and I would strongly recommend you to others.
My husband is a 69 year-old that has Louis body dementia and Alzheimer’s. With the trying behaviors that can take place with this disease, Legacy handled the situation very professionally. The communication level is top notch. Having had experience with another memory care facility, Legacy is compassionate, caring of all of the staff and nurses exceeds all expectations. It truly is a family atmosphere.
Although my mother has just been a resident at Legacy at Liberty Ridge for a couple days now it seems to be going very well. Jodi Sucher has been there for my family and I during the whole admission process, going above and beyond the call of duty. She has kept in contact with me on a daily basis. She has made countless phone calls and has spent hours making sure my mother’s admission went as smoothly as possible. I visited Legacy several times prior to my mother’s move in. Everyone I have encountered has been very helpful and friendly. Allison Chatterton, Director of Food Service has called me to find out my mother’s food preferences and dietary restrictions. Julie Ausman Business Office Manager has been very helpful with financial questions. I have spoken daily to the staff regarding my mother’s transition and it appears to be going very well. My family and I are looking forward to her and our relationship with Legacy.
Legacy staff of all kinds went above and beyond to make room for my husband with Alzheimer disease. The level of caring about residents is heartwarming. Residents are treated as important and their needs met by all Legacy staff. At a time when I was exhausted and vulnerable, staff were a tremendous help as John moved in. At least one person reaches out to me every week, updating John’s condition, letting me know what he would like from home. Legacy is a lovely building, with the added bonus of an enclosed courtyard and three screened porches. When John’s disease created the need for more care than I could give him at home, he became part of the Legacy family. I am deeply grateful to all staff who care so well for John.
Memory Care costs tend to be 20-40% higher than typical Assisted Living costs. $4,051 is the national monthly average cost of Assisted Living, as quoted by the 2019 Genworth Cost of Care Survey
